Is tickts really free?
Fans never pay booking fees - the price on the ticket is the price you pay. For organisers, our Starter plan is completely free: no commission, no platform fees, and no monthly subscription. If you need advanced features like unlimited seating layouts, detailed analytics, or priority support, our Growth plan is £29/mo and Pro is £69/mo. Stripe's standard payment processing fee (1.5% + 20p) applies to paid tickets on all plans, which is the same rate you'd pay using Stripe directly. Free tickets have zero fees of any kind.
How does tickts make money?
tickts is free to start for every organiser, and fans never pay booking fees on any plan. We generate revenue through optional paid subscriptions - our Growth (£29/mo) and Pro (£69/mo) plans - which unlock advanced features like unlimited seating layouts, detailed analytics, and priority support for larger organisations. Core ticketing is free.
What types of events can I sell tickets for?
Any event. tickts is designed for grassroots sports - football matches, rugby fixtures, cricket matches, and more - but it works just as well for music gigs, comedy nights, theatre performances, community fundraisers, and any other event where you need to sell tickets.
How do payments work?
tickts uses Stripe Connect, which means payments go directly to your own Stripe account. We never hold your funds or take a cut of your ticket revenue. Stripe pays out to your bank on a rolling schedule (typically within a few business days).
Can I use tickts for season tickets?
Yes. tickts supports season passes with automatic fixture detection, per-match scanning, and renewal management. Season ticket holders get a single pass that works across all fixtures in the season.
How do I scan tickets at the door?
Use our built-in QR scanner from any smartphone browser. You can assign door staff access so they can scan tickets without needing a full organiser account. The scanner works offline too - it pre-fetches ticket data so you're covered even with poor signal at the venue.
Can fans transfer tickets to someone else?
If the organiser has enabled transfers, fans can transfer tickets to another person via email. The recipient gets a new unique QR code, and the original ticket is invalidated. This prevents fraud while giving fans flexibility. Ticket transfers are available to organisers on all plans, including Starter.
Is tickts available outside Ireland?
tickts is now live in both the UK (tickts.co.uk) and Ireland (tickts.ie), supporting GBP and EUR payments through Stripe. If you're interested in using tickts in another country, get in touch and we'll let you know when we expand.
