Purchase Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This Purchase Policy explains the terms on which you buy tickets and related items through the Tickts platform (the “Platform”), operated by TICKTS LTD (Company No. 17029682), registered at 124-128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (“Tickts”, “we”, “us”). It sits alongside our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. By completing a purchase you accept this policy.
1. Who you are buying from
Tickts is a ticketing platform that lets event organisers sell tickets directly to their audience. When you buy a ticket, your contract for the event itself is with the event organiser, not with Tickts. The organiser is responsible for the event, its line-up, timings, venue, age restrictions, entry conditions and for honouring the ticket. Tickts provides the technology that processes your order, issues your ticket and takes payment on the organiser’s behalf.
2. What a ticket is
A ticket is a revocable licence granting the named holder admission to the event, subject to the organiser’s and venue’s terms of entry. It is not a guarantee that any particular act or element of the event will appear. Tickets remain the property of the organiser until used.
3. Pricing and fees
- No booking fees. The price you see at checkout is the ticket face value set by the organiser. Tickts does not add a per-ticket booking fee on top.
- Payment processing. Card-processing charges levied by our payment provider (Stripe) may apply, the same as anywhere you pay by card. Any such amount is shown before you pay.
- Optional extras. Add-ons, merchandise, donations or refund-protection products are clearly itemised before you confirm. You only pay for what you select.
- All prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include VAT where applicable.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Tickts does not see or store your full card details. Your order is confirmed only once payment is authorised. If a payment fails or is later reversed, the organiser may cancel the order and void the associated tickets. Depending on your device and location, Stripe may also offer additional payment methods at checkout, such as Link, Klarna, or Clearpay. If you choose a buy-now-pay-later option, your credit agreement is with that provider under its own terms and eligibility checks; the organiser is still paid in full.
Pay by Bank. On some events you may be offered “Pay by Bank”, an open-banking method provided through Stripe that lets you pay directly from your bank account instead of by card. You authorise the payment with your own bank, and it settles to the organiser in the same way as a card payment. It is a single one-off payment, not a credit agreement. Because it is a bank-to-bank payment rather than a card payment, the card chargeback route does not apply; if there is a problem, contact the organiser or us, and you can also raise a dispute or complaint about the payment with your own bank, which processes open-banking payments.
Paying in person. If you buy at an event’s box office, the organiser may take your payment in person by cash or by card (using a card reader or Tap to Pay). Card payments taken in person are processed by Stripe just like an online card payment; cash and other off-platform methods are handled by the organiser directly.
Payment plans and group payments. Some events let you spread the cost over instalments (a payment plan) or split the cost across a group so each person pays their own share. Where these are offered, the specific terms are shown before you commit and are set out in our Terms & Conditions (payment plans and split the bill) and Refund Policy.
4a. Post-purchase offers
After you complete a purchase, some organisers may offer one optional extra (for example an afterparty ticket or parking) on your confirmation page. Accepting it starts a separate payment, confirmed on its own Stripe payment page before you are charged — nothing is ever charged by the confirmation page itself. The extra forms its own order, linked to your original one, from the same organiser and under the same refund policy as the event. It is entirely optional and shown at most once.
5. Your tickets
Tickets are delivered digitally. After a successful purchase you receive an order confirmation by email containing your ticket(s) as a secure QR code, which you can also open from a signed link without logging in. Present the QR code (on your phone or printed) at the door. Each code admits one entry; once scanned it cannot be reused. Do not share screenshots of your ticket , anyone who presents the code first may be admitted in your place.
Online events. For an event that takes place online, admission is by a joining link (for example Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or a webinar link) instead of a QR code at a door. If the organiser has provided the link it is in your order confirmation email; otherwise it is sent to the email address on your order before the event starts. If the link never arrives or does not work and the organiser does not put it right, you are entitled to a full refund (see our Refund Policy). Your device, software, and internet connection are your responsibility.
Merchandise and physical add-ons. Where you buy merchandise or another physical item as an add-on, it is supplied by the organiser. Unless the item is to be collected at the event, the organiser is responsible for delivering it and for handling it in line with your consumer rights for goods bought at a distance, which for physical goods may include a 14-day right to cancel and return (this right does not apply to your tickets, nor to perishable or on-the-day items such as food and drink consumed at the event).
6. Refunds and cancellations
- Change of mind. Tickets for events are generally non-refundable once purchased. Because tickets are for a leisure event supplied on a specific date, the statutory 14-day cancellation right for distance purchases does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28).
- Organiser refund terms. Individual organisers may offer more generous terms. Each event displays its refund policy at checkout, and that policy is captured against your order. Where an organiser permits refunds or exchanges, request these from the organiser or via the refund-request option on your order.
- Cancelled or materially changed events. If an event is cancelled, or is rescheduled or materially changed and you cannot attend, you are entitled to a refund of the amount paid for the affected tickets. Refunds are made to your original payment method, or , where the organiser offers it and you accept , as gift-card credit redeemable on that organiser’s events.
- How refunds are paid. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Card-processing charges may be non-refundable. Refund-protection premiums (if purchased) are non-refundable but pay out under their own terms.
- Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
See our full Refund Policy for more detail.
6a. Donations
- Voluntary gift. A donation is a voluntary gift, separate from your ticket and not part of the ticket contract. It is paid directly to the organiser, or to the charity running the event. You only pay a donation if you choose to add one.
- Non-refundable. Donations are non-refundable, including where your ticket or the event is refunded or cancelled, because the gift has already passed to the organiser or charity. An organiser may choose to refund a donation at their discretion.
- Gift Aid. Gift Aid is offered only on events run by a charity recognised by HMRC and verified on the Platform. If you Gift Aid your donation you must be a UK taxpayer. You make a declaration and provide your home address so the charity can claim Gift Aid from HMRC. The charity, not Tickts, makes the claim and is responsible for it. If your donation is later refunded after Gift Aid has been claimed, the charity is responsible for adjusting the claim with HMRC.
7. Transfers and resale
Where the organiser enables it, you may transfer a ticket to another person or resell it through the Platform’s official fan-to-fan resale. Resale is capped at face value , tickets cannot be listed above the price you paid. When a ticket is transferred or resold through Tickts, the original code is voided and a fresh code issued to the new holder. Selling or transferring tickets outside the Platform may breach the organiser’s terms and can result in the ticket being voided without refund.
8. Entry and your responsibilities
- Admission is subject to the organiser’s and venue’s conditions of entry, including any age restrictions, ID checks, security searches and prohibited-items rules.
- Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break, or at all, at the organiser’s discretion.
- The organiser or venue may refuse admission to, or remove, anyone behaving in a way that risks safety or enjoyment, without refund.
- You are responsible for keeping your ticket secure and for the accuracy of the details you provide at checkout.
9. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us or the organiser first , most issues are resolved quickly. Raising a chargeback for a valid purchase may result in your ticket being voided and, where the claim is unfounded, may be challenged with evidence of the order.
10. Personal data
Information you provide at checkout is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Some of your details are shared with the event organiser so they can fulfil and manage your booking; the organiser is the data controller for the personal data they hold about their attendees, and Tickts processes that data on their behalf under our Data Processing Agreement.
11. Contact
Questions about a purchase? Contact the event organiser through your order, or email us at [email protected]. For event-specific issues (line-up, timings, entry), the organiser is best placed to help.
